Proven results

We've had lots of positive feedback about our Notebooks. But, not content with this we conducted some research on the Nursing Notebook in 2008 at Bournemouth University, to find out just how useful student nurses find their Notebooks.

Testimonial

"I feel that this booklet would be very useful for any student to use whilst they are working to become an effective practitioner .... Having information available to hand in one small booklet will help people to feel confident and prepared."

Karen State & Janet Hargreaves (University of Huddersfield), prominent reviewers.

The results

  • 88% found the notebook included useful strategies
  • 87% found the notebook easy to locate information
  • 87% found the notebook easy to use in placement
  • 82% found the notebook easy to write information into it
  • 84% found the notebook easy to carry around

Testimonial

"A terrific idea ...The notebook is neat, it is a useful, practical size and will fit easily into a pocket, an asset to students who want to access information easily and don’t necessarily want to draw attention to sources they are using. It is colourful, and robust enough to withstand regular access."

Sandra Crouch & Carol Chapelhow (School of Health, Community & Education studies, Newcastle-upon-Tyne), prominent reviewers.

Student feedback

Year 2 Nursing student
... "developed my confidence"
Year 3 Nursing student
... "provided a quick reference, particularly for time management."
